Occupational Therapy

  • Through the use of play, our occupational therapists help children acquire and maintain the skills needed for living. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Promoting independence of daily living skills such as dressing, grooming and eating
  • Improving fine motor, gross motor and hand/eye coordination skills
  • Improving visual motor skills including handwriting
  • Helping overcome sensory challenges and improving sensory organization and regulation skills
  • Improving social-emotional skills

Occupational Therapists not only work directly with the child but also with their families.

  • Improving production of sounds
  • Improving oral motor strength for speech, swallowing and eating
